Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager to maintain resort standards
- Lead, supervise, and motivate service staff in all aspects of service to the highest professional standards
- Ensure all mise en place is correctly prepared prior to commencing service
- Prepare all food and beverage requests within time parameters and display genuine hospitality
- Demonstrate excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage items offered
- Ensure design and layout of restaurant and bar equipment is flawless and reflects resort image
- Delegate responsibilities to service personnel and ensure tasks are completed
- Present oneself in a professional manner
- Remain updated on all resort happenings, including guest arrivals and departures
- Report incidents of breakages, equipment repair and maintenance to Team Leader/Supervisor
- Attend and participate in all allocated team events
- Participate in required training related to the job
Requirements
- Experience in fine dining or luxury hotel food and beverage service
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Knowledge of mise en place and service standards
- Ability to maintain high hygiene and presentation standards

Position Overview
- At One&Only, we exist to create joy for our guests through anticipation, creativity, precision, empathy and warmth.
- We are looking for a Head Waiter/Head Waitress to join the Food & Beverage team at One&Only the Palm Hotel in Dubai.
- You will be responsible in assisting the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager to maintain resort standards, leads, supervises and motivates his/her staff in all aspects of service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Presents oneself in a way that enhances the guest's overall experience by adding life and energy to the outlet.
- Ensures that all mise en place is correctly prepared prior to commencing service.
- Prepares all food and beverage requests within the time parameters set by the resort and always displays attributes of genuine hospitality.
- Demonstrates excellent product knowledge of all food and beverage items offered at the resort, and other items provided by the outlet.
- Ensures that the design and layout of the restaurant and bar equipment is flawless and reflects the image of the resort.
- Maintains and creates a working environment that reflects a sense of place.
- Delegates responsibilities to service personnel, and ensures tasks are completed.
- Presents oneself in a professional manner.
- Remains updated on all resort happenings, including guests in house, arrivals and departures, as well as daily events.
- Reports incidents of breakages, equipment repair and maintenance to Team Leader/ Supervisor.
