Responsibilities
- Lead the day to day accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial close in line with IFRS
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation and stock control across manufacturing operations
- Manage product costing, BOM validation and inventory reconciliations
- Lead external audits, VAT compliance and statutory reporting
- Drive improvements in financial processes, controls and ERP utilisation
- Manage and develop a team of six accounting professionals
- Partner with operations, supply chain and commercial teams to support business performance
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or Finance
- ACCA, CPA or CMA qualifications advantageous
- Around 10+ years' accounting experience in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, logistics or distribution environment
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience managing month end close, audits and compliance
- Previous leadership experience managing accounting teams
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics
- Previous Big 4 experience advantageous but not essential

Role Overview
- Our client, a leading UAE based manufacturing and distribution business, is seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function and manage a team of six finance professionals.
- This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Chief Accountant or Accounting Manager ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role
- Reporting to the GM Finance, you will take ownership of the end to end accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls and effective management of the company's accounting operations.
- Leading the day to day accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Managing monthly, quarterly and annual financial close in line with IFRS.
- Overseeing cost accounting, inventory valuation and stock control across manufacturing operations.

About You
- A degree in Accounting or Finance, with ACCA, CPA or CMA qualifications being advantageous.
