Head Chef role specializing in Greek cuisine within a global luxury hospitality group.
The position supports high-volume luxury hotel culinary operations and award-winning service standards.
Qualifications
- A culinary degree or equivalent experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Three to five years of Head Chef experience in a high-volume luxury hotel environment is required.
- Pizza preparation and cooking proficiency is required; Pizzaiolo experience is preferred.
- American or pub cuisine knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent English is required, while Arabic, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, or Mandarin is a plus.
- Forbes- or LQA-rated property experience is advantageous.
- HACCP, food hygiene, health and safety, restaurant operations, leadership, and communication skills are required.
Core Responsibilities
- Supervise daily culinary operations and lead culinary team meetings.
- Establish standards for specialty kitchens and banqueting operations.
- Plan menus and develop recipes for tasting sessions.
- Inspect food storage areas four times daily and monitor spoilage and inventory turnover.
- Supervise food preparation, quality, quantities, inventory control, and hot-plate service.
- Train kitchen staff on equipment and develop processes for consistent culinary excellence.
- Collaborate with Purchasing on high-quality ingredient selection.
- Maintain hygiene, records, logbooks, checklists, complaint handling, and regulatory compliance.
