AALISHAN is hiring an experienced Head Chef in Qatar.
The role leads restaurant kitchen operations and specializes in both South Indian and North Indian cuisine.
The ideal candidate has strong culinary expertise and proven kitchen team-management experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations in the restaurant environment.
- Prepare and oversee South Indian and North Indian dishes.
- Maintain authenticity through traditional Indian techniques, spices, ingredients, and recipes.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team.
- Manage food costing, inventory control, and portion sizes.
Requirements
- Five to ten years of professional kitchen experience is required.
- Strong experience in both South Indian and North Indian cuisine is required.
- Excellent knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques, spices, ingredients, and recipes is required.
- Strong kitchen leadership and team-management skills are required.
- Good knowledge of food costing, inventory control, and portion management is required.
- Experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef is preferred.
- GCC or Qatar experience is advantageous.
- Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is required.
