Novotel Abu Dhabi Gate is seeking a Food & Beverage Intern for hotel operations in Abu Dhabi.
The intern supports food and beverage, banquet, guest service, and related hotel operations.
Responsibilities
- Report punctually in the correct uniform and maintain professional grooming.
- Gather supplies for function setup and perform assigned side duties.
- Report deviations, complaints, incidents, and irregularities to management.
- Maintain equipment and keep service and storage areas safe, clean, and locked.
- Attend to guest needs, complaints, and on-site requests courteously.
- Set up and unset function rooms, including table settings, to established standards.
- Perform cashiering and beverage dispensing as assigned.
- Deliver food and beverage service according to departmental standards and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of F&B services, outlets, hotel services, features, and operating hours.
- Communicate difficulties and guest feedback to supervisors and assist other outlets during peak periods.
Qualifications and skills
- Currently pursuing a diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, hotel management, tourism, or a related field.
- Average reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Good communication, customer contact, problem-resolution, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Basic food and beverage product knowledge and attention to quality and detail.
- Prior related experience and experience with related systems are assets.
- Arabic and English fluency, with an additional language, is an added advantage.
