The Lana - Dorchester Collection is hiring a Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic sweets and pastries in Dubai.
The role offers an opportunity to develop pastry craft, service, and leadership skills in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain food quality control and timely food rotation.
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic and modern Arabic desserts.
- Provide timely service and Arabic sweets and pastries to a high standard.
- Follow food safety standards during preparation.
- Coordinate pastry menu changes, dessert specials, and seasonal activities with senior chefs.
- Report pastry ingredient shortages.
- Stay current with oriental pastry trends and apply traditional and contemporary confectionery skills.
- Maintain quality in a high-pressure environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in Arabic desserts, pastries, and confectionery.
- Knowledge of authentic, traditional, modern, and contemporary Arabic sweets.
- Awareness of current oriental pastry trends.
- Creativity and ability to maintain quality under pressure.
