About the Role

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, or at least 10 years of relevant experience
- 4 6 years relevant experience in EHSFS in a similar manufacturing industry including at least 2 years in managerial roles
- Knowledge of security systems: Access Control, CCTV, burglar alarm, intrusion detection, fire systems
- Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) preferred
- Bilingual (Arabic and English) preferred

Job Purpose
- To monitor and assist in the effective implementation of EGA's corporate security control/protection strategic plans, policies, and programs across assigned plant operations.
- Ensure adherence to world class security practices in accord with international and local legislation and standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls for the Security department.
- Supervises day to day operations of the Security department to ensure compliance with established policies.
- Supervises incident investigation process and undertakes investigations and reporting of security incidents.
- Plans, organizes, and conducts security training courses to promote security awareness.
- Controls and coordinates maintenance and testing of security protection systems throughout the plant.
- Develops and initiates routine evaluations of workplace security precautions.
- Complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies.
- Supervises activities and work of subordinates, providing formal and informal feedback.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent, or at least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Preferably accreditation or membership to a recognized association.
- 4 6 years relevant experience in EHSFS in a similar manufacturing industry including at least 2 years in managerial roles.
- Preferably bilingual (Arabic and English).
- Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
- Knowledgeable in ISPS Code, Physical Information Security, Electronic Security Access Control System, CCTV, burglar alarm, intrusion detection, and fire systems.
- Experience in administering a department with a multi national team.
- Proficiency in SAP applications and computer.
