Role Overview
The General Fitter maintains and repairs mechanical equipment and systems within the property.
The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots mechanical issues, and collaborates with maintenance professionals to support reliable machinery operation.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues in a timely manner.
- Use tools and equipment to install, dismantle, and assemble mechanical components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications for assembly and repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and ensure equipment functionality.
- Repair and replace faulty components to maintain optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule tasks.
- Support equipment installations and modifications.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment.
- Participate in training and stay updated on mechanical systems and technology.
Safety and Environmental Standards
- Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards in line with organizational policies.

Requirements
- Technical mechanical skills and knowledge relevant to maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems.
