Frontend Software Engineer

Summary

What You Would Do

• Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular 17 or newer, TypeScript, RxJS, and component-driven architecture.
• Translate UX designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible, and maintainable user interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services.
• Collaborate with backend teams to define API contracts and data flows.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including state management and component design.
• Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for performance, security, and reliability.
• Support the transition of MVPs and prototypes into production-ready frontend applications.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
• Continuously improve UI performance, usability, and maintainability.

Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of professional frontend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
• Experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs.
• Experience supporting a product from MVP or prototype through production release.
• Strong attention to UI quality, usability, and performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional product teams.

Work Environment

• The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona and interfaces with teams distributed across multiple geographies and functions.
• Periodic travel to divisions, customer sites, events, and ASSA ABLOY offices may be required, with domestic or international travel up to 10%.
