About the Client

Alpheya is a B2B WealthTech startup based in Abu Dhabi and backed by BNY Mellon and Lunate.

The company is building a wealth technology platform for banks and financial institutions serving affluent, HNW and UHNW investor segments.

About the Role

The Forward Deployed Engineer works directly with clients to solve technical challenges and implement production solutions.

The role owns client technical relationships, translates business constraints into technical specifications and coordinates deployments in client environments.

Field intelligence from client work informs the product roadmap and platform evolution.

Client Engagement

  • Coordinate end-to-end technical delivery for specific clients.
  • Run technical calls, reviews and sign-offs with client teams.
  • Translate technical constraints into requirements and develop feasible implementation strategies with clients.
  • Travel to client sites as needed, with less than 20% travel expected.

Technical Implementation

  • Lead client-specific adapter implementation in customer environments.
  • Make in-scope architectural decisions and escalate platform-level concerns to Principal Engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and technical leadership on client-requested feature implementation, prioritization and validation.
  • Work with infrastructure teams on deployments, release validation, multi-tenancy design and deployment strategy.

Knowledge and Process Development

  • Contribute field insights to product development and build reusable solutions for common patterns.
  • Create technical documentation and codified best-practice assets for future clients, including SSO, infrastructure sizing, API authentication and CI/CD processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages and scripting; the current stack includes TypeScript and Go.
  • Experience contributing to client-specific adapters through data mapping, API integrations and tenant configuration.
  • Experience debugging cloud-native environments, including relational databases, Kubernetes, Temporal, logs and traces.
  • Ownership mindset, accountability for client success, excellent communication and a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to translate technical constraints into business requirements and vice versa.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound escalation judgment and experience working in rapidly changing cross-functional environments.
  • Background in production implementation and troubleshooting is required.
  • Client-facing experience is preferred; consulting, agency or startup experience is an advantage.
