Position Overview
Equiti is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Specialist for its Data department in Abu Dhabi.
The role acts as the data lead and single point of accountability between Business, Product, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics for a dedicated business line.
The position combines hands-on technical delivery with business partnership across trading, wealth, and brokerage data needs.
Business and Requirements Partnership
- Build deep functional knowledge of a business line’s products, trade lifecycle, client journeys, and regulatory or reporting needs.
- Capture evolving data requirements from business stakeholders, including trading desks, relationship managers, product, risk, and compliance.
- Formalize requirements into business requirement documents, user stories, data contracts, and source-to-target mappings.
- Prioritize requirements with Product and Business while balancing immediate delivery with long-term platform integrity.
Delivery Ownership
- Own delivery from source identification and ingestion through modelling, transformation, and analytics consumption.
- Design target data models and pipeline architecture and work hands-on with engineers on batch and streaming ingestion and transformation.
