About the Role

- Instruct group fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, spinning, strength training) at all ability levels
- Provide advice to individuals on the correct method of exercising with fitness equipment
- Assess individual's current exercise program and level of fitness to develop personalized exercise programs
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests
- Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in an emergency
- Provide assistance to injured guests until arrival of emergency medical services
- Clean and maintain recreational area, equipment, and supplies
- Call Maintenance or an outside service company if machines require service
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Fitness Equipment certification or training
- Fitness Instruction certification or training

Position Summary
- Instruct group fitness classes (e.g., aerobics, spinning, strength training) at all ability levels.
- Provide advice to individuals on the correct method of exercising with fitness equipment.
- Assess individual's current exercise program and level of fitness to develop personalized exercise programs and provide fitness counseling.
- Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
- Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately/in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
- Clean and maintain recreational area, equipment, and supplies.
- Call Maintenance or an outside service company if machines require service.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- License or Certification: CPR Certification
- First Aid Certification
- Fitness Equipment
- Fitness Instruction
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.
