- Oversee fire protection and life safety across WBG facilities and projects
- Design and review fire and safety systems
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with local codes, international standards, and company policies
- Develop and implement fire safety procedures, emergency response plans, and inspection schedules
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and authorities as needed
- Supervise installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems
- Lead safety audits, investigate incidents, and prepare technical reports and documentation
- Train and mentor team members, promoting a strong safety culture
- Support continuous improvement in fire and safety engineering practices
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Fire Protection Engineering and Fire Safety, including design, review, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations
- Solid knowledge of Life Safety and Safety Engineering, with experience in risk assessment, emergency planning, and safe design
- Practical experience with Fire Suppression Systems, including selection, installation oversight, testing, and maintenance
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFPS, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and familiarity with UAE fire and safety codes and international standards
- Proven experience in a senior or lead fire and safety engineering role, preferably within construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills, with the ability to lead cross functional teams and communicate effectively
- Ability to work on site in Dubai, manage multiple projects, and promote a proactive safety culture

Role Description
- The Fire and Safety Lead Engineer is a full time, on site role based in Dubai, responsible for overseeing fire protection and life safety across WBG facilities and projects.

Qualifications

- Practical experience with Fire Suppression Systems, including selection, installation oversight, testing, and maintenance of systems such as sprinklers, alarms, and extinguishing agents
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFPS, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and familiarity with UAE fire and safety codes and international standards
- Proven experience in a senior or lead fire and safety engineering role, preferably within construction, industrial, or infrastructure environments
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem solving skills, with the ability to lead cross functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
- Ability to work on site in Dubai, manage multiple projects, and promote a proactive safety culture across diverse operational areas
