Role Overview

The Finance Technology Platform Associate supports delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of finance technology solutions.

The role connects finance processes, accounting outcomes, data, controls, platforms, testing, and production readiness.

Supported platforms include Oracle Fusion, Guidewire, Data Warehouse, MDM, and related finance applications.

Finance Platform Delivery

  • Support finance technology changes and confirm system, process, data, and control impacts.
  • Translate finance process needs into solution inputs for Technology, QA, and delivery partners.
  • Assess solution options, risks, dependencies, implementation impacts, and production readiness.
  • Maintain delivery documentation for change, testing, operations, and auditability.

Data, Testing, and Implementation

  • Analyze financial data issues, reconciliation breaks, reporting differences, and control exceptions.
  • Review data flows, interfaces, and dependencies between finance platforms and source systems.
  • Use SQL for investigation, validation, testing, and implementation checks.
  • Support UAT, end-to-end testing, regression testing, production validation, defect triage, and stabilization.

Controls and Stakeholders

  • Support finance reporting, accounting controls, audit activities, regulatory initiatives, and operational resilience.
  • Simplify manual processes, improve controls, and reduce recurring operational issues.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Technology, QA, Architecture, and external delivery partners.
  • Provide updates on risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and validation progress.

Required Qualifications

  • At least seven years of relevant finance systems, financial applications, platform delivery, or operational change experience in a large enterprise.
  • At least five years of experience with finance processes, accounting outcomes, reconciliations, reporting, or financial controls.
  • Strong accounting knowledge covering debits, credits, journal entries, general ledger concepts, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP or comparable finance platforms, Guidewire applications, SQL, data analysis, and finance testing activities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and Microsoft Office skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Insurance industry experience is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17, OSFI, GISA, Facility Association, or related regulatory requirements is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Data Warehouse, ETL, MDM, integration solutions, Agile delivery, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The salary band is CAD 85,000 to CAD 110,000, with individual salary based on job-related factors and internal equity.
