We are looking for a highly organised and detail-driven Finance & Administration Manager to join as our client as their first in-house finance hire.
You will work directly with the CEO to build their financial logging, reporting, and compliance infrastructure from the ground up across a group of five companies.
This is a foundational role in a fast-growing startup that has experienced parabolic growth over the past year, and you will have a direct hand in shaping how the business operates at scale.
The group of companies operates exclusively on the blockchain, meaning you will be processing, managing, and reconciling a high volume of on-chain transactions daily.
This is not a traditional finance role — you will need to be comfortable navigating the world of digital assets, decentralised finance, and crypto-native business operations.
Administration & Bookkeeping
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping across all five companies within the group.
- Process, track, and reconcile all invoices, payment dues, and accounts receivable/payable.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and categorised.
- Build and maintain a structured filing system for contracts, receipts, invoices, and other financial documentation.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Monitor and track all reporting deadlines, regulatory filings, and compliance obligations for each entity in the group.
- Ensure timely submission of all required financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory documents.
- Stay informed on evolving regulations relevant to blockchain-based businesses and digital assets.
- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and legal advisors as required.
Finance Systems & Infrastructure
- Collaborate directly with the CEO to design, build, and implement the company’s internal finance and logging systems.
- Develop standardised processes and workflows for financial operations across the group.
- Identify and deploy tools, platforms, and automation to streamline financial administration.
- Leverage AI-powered tools and workflows to improve efficiency in data processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
Blockchain & Crypto Operations
- Intake, manage, and reconcile a high volume of on-chain blockchain transactions across multiple wallets and entities.
- Track and categorise crypto-native revenue, expenses, and treasury movements.
- Maintain clear records of digital asset holdings, transfers, and conversions for each company in the group.
- Work with blockchain analytics and accounting tools to ensure accuracy and auditability.
Essential
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management.
- Exceptional organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple entities simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of cryptocurrency fundamentals, blockchain transactions, and digital asset management.
- Familiarity with AI tools and willingness to integrate them into daily workflows for efficiency gains.
- Experience with or willingness to learn crypto accounting platforms (e.g., Koinly, CoinTracker, Cryptio, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with senior leadership.
- Self-starter mentality — comfortable building processes and systems in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Desirable
- Experience working in a Web3, DeFi, or crypto-native company.
- Familiarity with multi-entity corporate structures and group-level financial consolidation.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for digital assets in relevant jurisdictions.
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Prior experience as a first finance hire or in building finance functions from scratch.
