Responsibilities
- Inspire and motivate a team of 4 6 engineers within a single squad, providing clear direction aligned with company vision
- Develop talent through coaching, mentoring, and providing challenging growth opportunities; conduct effective 1:1s and performance assessments
- Maintain strong understanding of team's software architecture, provide technical direction, facilitate technical decision making, and drive quality practices like code reviews and testing
- Plan and manage team's execution to deliver on roadmap commitments; help break down complex topics into manageable tasks
- Identify risks early, communicate them to stakeholders, and work actively to mitigate them
- Partner with Product and business leadership to influence product strategy and drive alignment between technical goals and product priorities
Requirements
- 1 3 years of experience in an engineering leadership role (Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager) guiding a team of at least 4 engineers
- Strong technical background in software development (e.g., Java, Go, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Messaging Queues, Cloud Services)
- Motivated by working in a fast paced, high growth startup environment
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Fintech/eCommerce experience is a plus

Your Role
- We're seeking an Engineering Manager I for one of our core engineering teams to lead a team developing and enhancing payment solutions.
- You will guide your team in building and owning a meaningful segment of our platform, ensuring delivery of high quality features.
Your Responsibilities
- Inspire and motivate a team of 4 6 engineers within a single squad; provide clear direction aligned with company vision.

- Maintain strong understanding of team's software architecture; provide technical direction and drive quality practices.
