About the Role
Oversee implementation and execution of electrical works on-site for complex building projects.
Ensure electrical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in line with approved designs, standards, and regulations.
Coordinate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor installation of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, ELV, and other specialized electrical systems.
- Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications, and applicable NEC, NFPA, HTM, and other standards.
- Conduct site inspections and verify work progress and quality against project requirements.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and support smooth site operations.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals for compliance with design intent and project specifications.
- Monitor testing and commissioning and ensure adherence to safety protocols and QA/QC procedures.
- Prepare daily and weekly site reports on progress, issues, and potential delays for the construction or project manager.
- Attend project meetings, site walk-throughs, and inspections with stakeholders and authorities.
- Support handover by completing punch lists and final testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 7 to 12 years of experience in electrical engineering.
- Healthcare project experience is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical installation practices, materials, and testing procedures.
- Familiarity with local codes and international standards.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and installation details.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage site activities under pressure while ensuring quality and safety.
- Membership or certification with a recognized engineering body is preferred.
- Experience under FIDIC contracts and coordination with supervision consultants is a plus.
