Job Description
The Duty Engineer maintains hotel engineering systems and responds to technical and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems for optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical faults or equipment failures promptly.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce breakdown risks.
- Respond to alarms, safety hazards, and other emergencies according to protocols.
- Record equipment status, maintenance work, and incidents.
- Coordinate with other departments on operational and technical needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment or systems as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a relevant field.
- Relevant HVAC, electrical safety, or mechanical maintenance certifications are applicable.
- Proven experience in engineering systems maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle emergencies calmly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Computer literacy for logging reports and using maintenance management systems.
