The employer is seeking an experienced Civil or MEP Draftsman for its contracting and projects team in Abu Dhabi.
The role prepares accurate technical drawings for civil or MEP works and coordinates with engineers, site teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare civil, architectural, MEP, shop, and as-built drawings.
- Develop HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting system drawings.
- Prepare layouts, sections, construction details, coordination drawings, reflected ceiling plans, and builders' work drawings.
- Revise drawings based on consultant or client comments and site conditions.
- Coordinate drawings with architectural and structural drawings to identify clashes.
- Support technical submissions and drawing approvals.
- Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and existing conditions when required.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, MEP, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant drafting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience preparing both civil and MEP shop drawings is required.
- Good understanding of construction, fit-out, and MEP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Revit or BIM experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi or UAE construction practices and authority requirements is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience with main contractors, fit-out companies, MEP contractors, or facilities and construction companies in Abu Dhabi is preferred.
- The candidate should be able to handle multiple drafting disciplines.
