Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise delivery drivers and manage daily dispatch operations.
- Allocate drivers based on workload, availability, and delivery requirements.
- Plan delivery routes and daily dispatch schedules.
- Monitor driver attendance, availability, productivity, and performance.
- Track delivery KPIs including on-time delivery, delivery success, failed deliveries, and productivity.
- Monitor live delivery progress and respond to delays or exceptions.
- Handle failed deliveries, customer escalations, route issues, and operational problems.
- Coordinate with warehouse, hub, customer service, and operations teams.
- Ensure drivers follow company SOPs, safety requirements, and delivery standards.
- Coach drivers and provide performance feedback.
- Prepare dispatch, driver performance, and operational reports.
- Improve route efficiency, reduce delivery failures, and maintain vehicle and equipment readiness.
Requirements
- At least 2–3+ years of experience in last-mile delivery, logistics, courier, or transportation operations.
- Experience managing 20 or more drivers is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dispatch operations, route planning, and last-mile delivery processes.
- Good knowledge of local roads, delivery areas, and route optimisation.
