Job Purpose

  • Lead the development and execution of all operational and technical training initiatives for EGA.

Key Accountabilities Strategic Development

  • Drive formulation and implementation of operational & technical training strategies aligned with EGA's overall strategy.

Key Accountabilities Safety, Quality, and Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental management policies.
  • Ensure all training materials are compliant with internal and external requirements.

Key Accountabilities Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure training programs meet international and local regulatory standards.
  • Liaise with government entities to secure recognition for EGA's technical courses.

Key Accountabilities Training Management

  • Oversee design and management of comprehensive training curriculum for operational and technical skill development.
  • Oversee training needs analyses and lead design of technical and operational training courses.
  • Implement systems ensuring 30% of operations employees are prepared for next roles.
  • Manage Labour Training pool of approximately 150 employees and 140 National Trainees.
  • Ensure availability of suitable training equipment and resources.

Key Accountabilities Training Innovation and Strategy

  • Lead identification and development of modern training tools aligned with Industry 4.0 technologies.

Key Accountabilities On Job Excellence

  • Lead design and execution of On Job Excellence program with 30 on job coaches.
  • Monitor and report on progress of skill upgrades and readiness for new employees.

Key Accountabilities Budget Management

  • Prepare and recommend annual budget for Technical and Operations Training (approx. US$4 5M).
  • Monitor financial performance against budget.

Key Accountabilities Collaboration and Coordination

  • Collaborate with various plant areas to ensure training aligns with operational needs.

Key Accountabilities Emiratisation Initiatives

  • Design and implement technical training programs for Graduate and Non Graduate National trainees.
  • Manage training and development of approximately 180 National Trainees.
  • Oversee National Traineeship Program covering diverse technical requirements.
