Job Description

  • As Director of Marketing, you will lead the hotel's overall marketing strategy, ensuring every guest touchpoint reflects the Delano brand.
  • Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop integrated marketing strategies that build brand awareness, drive revenue, and create cultural relevance.
  • This role requires a commercially minded leader with creative instincts, deep luxury hospitality understanding, and a strong network.

Key Responsibilities Brand Leadership

  • Champion and protect the Delano brand across every channel and guest touchpoint.
  • Lead development of annual marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity, storytelling, and tone of voice.
  • Position Delano Dubai as a market leading luxury lifestyle destination.

Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting rooms, restaurants, bars, spa, and events.
  • Drive awareness, market share, guest acquisition, and revenue.
  • Build seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
  • Identify emerging market trends and guest behaviours to maximise commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities Digital & Content

  • Oversee all digital marketing activities including website, CRM, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and paid media.
  • Lead content strategy across owned and earned channels.
  • Ensure all creative assets reflect Delano's elevated aesthetic.
  • Drive social media strategy in partnership with the Social Media Manager.

Key Responsibilities PR & Communications

  • Lead the hotel's PR strategy alongside appointed agencies.
  • Build relationships with international, regional, and local media.
  • Secure impactful editorial coverage and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Oversee crisis communications where required.

Key Responsibilities Partnerships & Experiences

  • Develop strategic partnerships with luxury, fashion, design, wellness, and cultural brands.
  • Create signature brand activations that generate conversation and strengthen Delano's positioning.
  • Build relationships with key opinion leaders, influencers, and tastemakers.

Key Responsibilities Commercial Performance

  • Manage the annual marketing budget and ROI.
  • Analyse campaign performance and guest insights.
  • Work closely with Revenue Management and Sales to maximise demand and profitability.
  • Present regular performance reports with actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities Leadership

  • Inspire and develop a high performing marketing team.
  • Foster collaboration across departments.
  • Mentor direct reports and encourage creativity, accountability, and innovation.
  • Build a culture of excellence that reflects Delano's values.

Qualifications Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
  • 8 10 years’ progressive marketing leadership experience within luxury hospitality or premium lifestyle brands.
  • Proven track record leading marketing for a luxury hotel or internationally recognised lifestyle brand.
  • UAE or GCC experience preferred; pre opening experience highly advantageous.
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset.
  • Deep expertise in luxury brand positioning, storytelling, and creative direction.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, CRM, and performance marketing.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Established network across luxury media, fashion, influencers, and lifestyle partners.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, developing talent, and fostering a culture of empowerment.
  • Leadership style that unites, inspires, and elevates team performance.
