Responsibilities
- Assist with simple preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Help set up and maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked workstation before and during service
- Support the kitchen brigade during service by executing basic tasks accurately and promptly
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with HACCP and kitchen safety procedures at all times
- Assist in proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients to ensure freshness and reduce waste
- Work closely with Commis I and Demi Chef de Partie to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Actively learn basic culinary skills and kitchen procedures under supervision
- Follow instructions carefully, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- Support general kitchen duties to ensure efficiency and cleanliness throughout service periods
- Develop understanding of DELANO culinary standards, recipes, and presentation expectations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Commis II or Commis III in a luxury hotel, high end restaurant, or similar environment preferred
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Strong focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and presentation standards
- Understanding of basic food safety and HACCP principles
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a structured kitchen brigade
- Able to perform in a fast paced, high pressure kitchen environment
- Formal culinary qualification or international culinary training preferred

Qualifications
- Luxury Experience: Previous experience as a Commis II or Commis III in a luxury hotel, high end restaurant, or similar environment preferred
- Culinary Foundation: Basic understanding of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, cleanliness, and presentation standards
- Hygiene Knowledge: Understanding of basic food safety and HACCP principles
- Team Player: Willingness to learn and work collaboratively within a structured kitchen brigade
- Adaptability: Able to perform in a fast paced, high pressure kitchen environment
- Educational Background: A formal culinary qualification or international culinary training is preferred, with strong technical foundations.
