Role Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during dental procedures.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, treatment supplies, and equipment.
• Expose and develop dental radiographs and perform delegated procedures under hospital policies.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards, including sterilization and contaminated-material disposal.
• Manage operatory supplies, inventory lists, patient histories, dental charting, and electronic records.
• Monitor patients during nitrous oxide sedation and provide oral hygiene instructions.
• Schedule appointments and procedures, follow up on diagnostic tests, and coordinate patient communications.
• Attend staff meetings, support clinic planning, and maintain clean and stocked consultation rooms.
• Admit and discharge patients according to established standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and stay updated on internal clinic communications.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

• Four-year Nursing Degree.
• Five-year Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
• Minimum 4 years of nursing dental experience.
• Previous experience in a private healthcare institute is an asset.
• Current license to practice nursing.
• Basic Life Support certification.

Clinic Setting

• The role is based in a dental clinic and involves in-person clinical and patient-care duties.
