Position Description
Conduct functional assessments and develop treatment plans to improve patients' activities of daily living, physical function, and mobility.
Provide fitness and wellness-oriented programs to help prevent disability and support healthier, more active lifestyles.
Deliver clinically indicated or prescribed treatments in coordination with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
Clinical Practice and Quality
- Perform clinical procedures according to evidence-based practice and department, hospital, DHA, and JCI policies or guidelines.
- Use range of motion, manual muscle, functional, and coordination tests during patient assessment and care.
- Apply supportive devices, assistive tools, and therapeutic modalities safely and at appropriate dosages, durations, and intensities.
- Participate in quality improvement, incident reporting, performance improvement activities, chart reviews, and documentation updates.
- Review and update policies and procedures and contribute to treatment protocols for new patient populations.
- Identify equipment repair or upgrade needs and recommend equipment and supply purchases.
