Role Overview
PwC is seeking a Data Governance Consultant, Senior Associate to support a banking and financial services client on a cloud migration program.
The consultant will be embedded with the client team and support governance across a multi-wave migration from on-premises environments to Azure.
Core Responsibilities
- Define and implement governance frameworks, policies, standards, controls, ownership models, and stewardship practices.
- Assess applications and data domains for migration readiness, including quality, lineage, retention, privacy, classification, and control implications.
- Embed governance requirements across planning, implementation, testing, go-live, and post-go-live operations.
- Facilitate collaboration among business, risk, governance, and technology teams and provide practical advisory support.
- Create governance frameworks, assessments, process documentation, RACI models, standards, risk materials, and executive readouts.
- Gather requirements, facilitate workshops, document current and future states, and track issues, risks, dependencies, and actions.
Required Experience
- 3–5 years of overall professional experience, including at least 1–2 years of direct data governance experience.
- Experience supporting governance in cloud migration, cloud transformation, or data transformation programs.
