About the Role

Responsibilities
- Create timely, accurate and legally compliant customs clearance declarations for KSA.
- Operate across KSA regulatory platforms (Fasah, SABER, Bayan) and coordinate government authority approvals.
- Review data for each shipment to identify customer and regulatory requirements.
- Make decisions regarding the most appropriate type of entry based on data and regulations.
- Support resolution of customs disputes and develop customized solutions.
- Prepare justifications for Customs to support decisions and initiate corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain effective customer relationships and provide advice on clearance services.
- Perform physical checks on shipments and ensure scan compliance.
Requirements
- In depth knowledge of Saudi customs and trade regulations
- Experience with Fasah, SABER, and Bayan platforms
- 5+ years of experience in customs operations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Objective / Purpose of the Job
- Creates timely, accurate and legally compliant customs clearance declarations for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the most complex entries.
- Ensures all documents made are in the best interests of the Customer and JD Logistics whilst limiting financial and legal exposure.
- Operates across KSA regulatory platforms (Fasah, SABER, Bayan) and coordinates government authority approvals (SFDA, CITC, GACA and others) to achieve full regulatory compliance and critical service deadlines.
Accountabilities
- Develops and maintains an in depth knowledge of relevant Customs and trade regulations, practices and procedures.
- Reviews data for each shipment to identify exact Customer and regulatory requirements, together with the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied.
- Makes the decision regarding the most appropriate type of entry based on interpretation of data and regulatory requirements.
- Creates accurate and timely entries within appropriate systems ensuring correct declaration of goods.
- Supports the resolution of routine inter company and customs disputes and/or the development of customized solutions.
- Prepares justifications for Customs to support decisions made and initiates corrective actions to avoid problem recurrence.
- Supports JD Logistics in achieving its Customer Experience related strategies and goals.
- Understands and abides by FCPA guidelines while conducting day to day business activities.
- Creates and maintains accurate and timely records for all assigned transactions.
- Performs physical checks on shipments/paperwork and examinations for Customs.
- Reports any exceptions to the appropriate department/area and aligns efforts to resolve serious/recurring issues.
- Performs any other related duties when requested by management.
