Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct independent scope of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design and field investigations on large size projects
- Lead the design, development, modification and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant EDPs, design standards and guides, and BSAPs
- Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries
- Design structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
- Determine the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete
- Originate and check complex Civil/Structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
- Develop conceptual designs for Civil/Structural engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements
- Interview client personnel to determine their needs, develop scope for cost estimates for services and participate in proposal preparation and presentation
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget
- Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data

Project Overview
- The Ar Rjum Project comprises a green field gold project with three open pit mining operations, processing plant, tailings management facilities, and supporting infrastructure.
- The Project is situated approximately 200 km north east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh.
Major Responsibilities
- Plans and conducts independent scope of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design and field investigations on large size projects or assignments in support of a global business unit
- Leads the design, development, modification and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the project to which assigned
- Designs structures using advanced knowledge of structural analysis, including statics, dynamics, and materials engineering
- Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements
- Originates and checks complex Civil/Structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
- Develops conceptual designs for Civil/Structural engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements
- Interviews client personnel to determine their needs, develops scope for cost estimates for services and participates in proposal preparation and presentation
