Role Overview
DSV is hiring a Credit Controller to join its Dubai team.
The role manages customer receivables, collections, credit monitoring, and unpaid invoices.
The position contributes directly to organizational liquidity.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Follow up overdue invoices by telephone, email, and letter within agreed timescales.
- Handle disputed invoices and negotiate payment within agreed terms.
- Respond to enquiries about invoicing, payments, statements of account, and payment errors.
- Coordinate with customer service, sales, operations, finance, and management teams.
- Maintain accurate payment follow-up records and manage customer debts.
- Evaluate customer credit situations and update credit limits following approval.
- Submit new credit applications with supporting documents and issue confirmation letters.
- Review trade licenses and tax certificates and request renewed documents when they expire.
- Monitor customer balances to reduce days sales outstanding and reconcile accounts monthly.
- Prepare debtors ageing, bad debt provisions, credit insurance overviews, and financial reports.
- Propose write-offs of irrecoverable receivables or recommend legal action.
- Prepare ad hoc reports, weekly and monthly reports, and meet established KPIs.
