Job Purpose

Support contractual and commercial administration for a major infrastructure project.

Monitor obligations, deliverables, guarantees, deadlines, variations, and vendor or subcontractor requirements.

Coordinate closely with Project Management, Procurement, Engineering, Commercial teams, subcontractors, and the client.

Contract Administration

  • Manage daily contractual and commercial administration of the assigned project contract.
  • Maintain compliance and obligations trackers covering clauses, dates, deliverables, approvals, and dependencies.
  • Monitor requirements from Letters of Award, offers, agreements, and associated contract documents.
  • Track vendor lists, project programmes, insurance certificates, and other contractual submissions.
  • Review dates, identify discrepancies and compliance risks, and support milestone recalculations.

Guarantees and Variations

  • Monitor Performance Bank Guarantees and Advance Payment Bank Guarantees through issuance, renewal, reduction, and release.
  • Track advance-payment recovery and amortization against payment milestones.
  • Maintain guarantee records, including values, expiry dates, amendments, and requirements.
  • Administer Variation Orders, Change Requests, deviation proposals, and BOQ changes.
  • Document changes, track approvals, and maintain auditable records.

Vendor Compliance and Reporting

  • Coordinate client-approved vendor and subcontractor lists and verify contractual compliance.
  • Track vendor and subcontractor submissions, approvals, deviations, and outstanding actions.
  • Draft formal contractual and commercial correspondence for project and commercial review.
  • Prepare contract-status reports covering deadlines, obligations, commercial risks, and actions.
  • Maintain records supporting governance, audits, claims, and commercial reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of contracts administration or commercial contract management experience.
  • Experience on EPC, utility, telecommunications, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC-style conditions, bank guarantees, variations, BOQ changes, and commercial correspondence.
  • Experience maintaining contractual registers, obligation trackers, and project documentation.
  • UAE or GCC project experience is advantageous.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent contractual detail, accuracy, written communication, document control, and record-management discipline.
  • Ability to identify conflicting or ambiguous contractual information and escalate it appropriately.
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractual actions and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proactive approach to identifying contractual and commercial risks.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Experience in an EPC contractor, engineering consultancy, System Integrator, telecommunications infrastructure provider, or utilities organization is preferred.

Hands-on exposure to FIDIC contracts, compliance, variations, guarantees, BOQ changes, vendor approvals, and formal client correspondence is strongly preferred.
