Role Overview
The Lana - Dorchester Collection is hiring a Commis 1 for Pastry & Bakery in Dubai through Hosco.
The role provides an opportunity for an early-career Commis Chef to develop craft, service, and leadership skills through workplace learning and the company’s learning academy.
Work Environment
- The position is based at a hotel in Dubai and involves hands-on food preparation, cooking, presentation, service, and coordination with the pastry and bakery team.
- The role requires maintaining quality in a high-pressure hospitality environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Maintain food quality control, appropriate food rotation, timely service, and high food-quality standards.
- Prepare, cook, and present food in accordance with food safety standards.
- Coordinate daily preparation and food-shortage information with the Chief Baker or Executive Pastry Chef.
- Support seasonal food and beverage activities and remain current with pastry and bakery trends.
