Job Description
The Commis 1 - Pastry & Bakery role supports culinary operations within a global hospitality and lifestyle business.
The position is based in a high-performance, fast-paced environment focused on quality, teamwork, guest experience, and professional development.
Compensation
- The role offers a fixed monthly salary of AED 1,400.
Candidate Requirements
- Candidates should have a proven track record as a Commis 1 or in a similar role in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
- A culinary degree or equivalent qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Pre-opening experience in setting up fast-paced kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Time management, multitasking, a positive attitude under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills are required.
- Candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of HACCP, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute creative menu items and ensure dishes are hand-crafted to the required standard.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver a coordinated dining experience and timely guest service.
- Follow guidelines for portion sizes, presentation, food quality, food safety, and sanitation.
- Contribute to new dishes, curated menu items, and food presentation techniques.
- Handle ingredient procurement and ensure fresh, suitable ingredients are used.
- Maintain an organized and hygienic kitchen and participate in professional training and workshops.
- Support team efficiency during busy service periods and special events while representing the brand professionally.
