Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, mise en place, and basic cooking tasks.
  • Follow recipes, portioning, and presentation standards as directed by senior chefs.
  • Ensure timely preparation of items to support smooth service flow.
  • Support the assigned section during service and peak periods.
  • Maintain readiness of workstations and replenish mise en place as required.
  • Assist in executing orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain consistency in basic food preparation and adherence to standards.
  • Ensure proper handling of ingredients to preserve quality and freshness.
  • Report any quality issues to senior kitchen staff.
  • Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

Have what it takes to join our team?

  • Experience as a Commis I or similar role in a beach club, resort, or high volume restaurant.
  • Basic to intermediate culinary skills relevant to the assigned section.
  • Understanding of basic kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
  • Good teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume, outdoor hospitality environment.
