Landmark Hotels & Suites seeks a Commi 2 to maintain effective employee relations, ensure food quality and quantity, and support kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations
- Inform the Chef De Partie on all relevant information on operational and personal matters
- Ensure all food items for the restaurant are prepared on time and meet quality and quantity standards
- Prepare food requisitions as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers
- Control cost by minimizing spoilage, waste, proper storage and exercising strict portion control
- Ensure that cost control policies and procedures are followed
- Attend training sessions
- Report any equipment on the section which needs repair or maintenance
- Ensure freshness and suitability of products used by the section and that they are stored properly
- Ensure smooth running of the section during Demi Chef De parties absences
- Support the executive chef, sous chef, line chefs as well as other kitchen employees in food production
Requirements
- Ability to maintain effective employee relations
- Ensure food quality and quantity standards
- Prepare food requisitions as assigned
- Maintain cleanliness in all assigned areas
- Control costs by minimizing spoilage, waste, and proper storage
- Assist in food production and kitchen operations
