A growing professional services firm in the UAE is seeking a Tax & Accounting Associate to support a diverse portfolio of clients with accounting, tax, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns
- Calculate tax liabilities and identify deductions and tax saving opportunities
- Advise clients on VAT, Corporate Tax, and other compliance requirements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Maintain petty cash records and coordinate daily banking activities
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled regularly
- Review income statements and expenses, conduct client discussions
- Prepare weekly and monthly summary reports for management
- Update financial trackers and databases
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- ACCA / CA / CPA / CMA qualified or currently pursuing
- 1 2 years of relevant accounting or tax experience
- Minimum 1 year of UAE experience highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in VAT and tax computations
- Familiarity with UAE compliance requirements (VAT, CT, AML, ESR, UBO) is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in English

Role Overview

- Maintain accurate and compliant client records.
- Prepare and file individual and small business tax returns.
- Calculate tax liabilities in accordance with applicable tax laws.
- Identify eligible deductions, credits, and tax saving opportunities.
- Advise clients on VAT, Corporate Tax, and other compliance requirements.
- Monitor registration thresholds and ongoing filing obligations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Maintain petty cash records and coordinate daily banking activities.
- Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and reconciled regularly.
- Review income statements, expenses, and supporting financial documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA / CA / CPA / CMA qualified or currently pursuing.
- 1–2 years of relevant accounting or tax experience.
- Experience within an accounting or professional services firm is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of UAE experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable & Receivable.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in VAT and tax computations.
- Familiarity with UAE compliance requirements such as VAT, CT, AML, ESR, and UBO is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in English.
