Responsibilities
- Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus
- Ensure consistency in preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards
- Check taste, temperature and visual appeal of food items to ensure quality and portion consistency
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, security and loss control policies and government legislation
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback
- Conduct regular quality checks on pastry products to uphold standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 2 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5 star hotel
- Fantastic passion for presentation and a meticulous eye for detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Well versed in all aspects of Food Hygiene, HACCP and ISO
- Strong communication, organisational skills and grooming standards

What you will be doing
- Actively share ideas, opinions and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
- Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
- Check the taste, temperature and visual appeal of food items prepared to ensure quality and portion consistency.
- Ensure that all safety, health, security and loss control policies and procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback.
- Conduct regular quality checks on pastry products to uphold the hotel's standards of excellence, presentation, and taste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation requirements to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Your experience and skills include
- Fantastic passion for presentation and a meticulous eye for detail.
