Car Washer

A car washer is responsible for performing assigned car washing jobs, ensuring that they are carried out in accordance with the relevant car washing procedures, neat and clean, in a timely manner.

A car washer can work alone or as part of a group or team to carry out car washing/polishing/detailing jobs.

· Exercise extreme care for customer vehicles, use the provided tools and material effectively to avoid damage of the vehicle interior/exterior wherever applicable.

Prior to work starting, inspect for unreported damage or personal articles, and advise the supervisor or management of any abnormalities

· Provide quality services to customer vehicles washing/polishing/detailing utilizing attained through training and/or years of experience

· Work within turnaround time to achieve the target and to maintain the highest cleaning standards

· Use the provided materials, tools, and workshop consumables effectively and reduce wastage

· Operate and maintain the work location in accordance with the instruction of direct supervisor or manager

· Maintain tools and equipment neatly and in good operating condition

· Report loss, breakage, and faults to direct supervisor who in turn will arrange to fix the reported concern and will report to the manager

· Ensure clock timing (on/off jobs – time punching) is accurate, and that the actual work performed is accurately recorded

· Timely updates the team on job status ensure ahead of time if job completion deadline cannot be achieved or any change, so the manager / supervisor and customer can be updated

· Dispose of the waste as per governmental and company policies

· Ensure to be timely aligning with the company whilst clean and tidy policy

· Use PPE/safety equipment provided by the company and notify the team leader or supervisor immediately of any unsafe practices observed

· Adhere to government and companies Health and Safety regulations

Comply with all company policies and procedures including manufacturer policy and procedures, security, health, safety, quality, and environmental policies etc

· Give suggestions and work with team to reduce nonvalue added work, enhance working culture/environment, and improve customer satisfaction

· Minimum of 2 years proven experience in a similar automotive dealership as a car washer/detailing/polisher

· Disciplined time management

· Able to work under own initiative

· Efficiently work using washing tools and materials

· Skilled polishing abilities preparation and polishing

· Understanding of car washing materials and purpose of usage
