Job Summary

The Camp Boss is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, discipline, and welfare of the company’s labour accommodation camp, ensuring compliance with

The role requires maintaining a safe, clean, and organized living environment for up to [e.g., 500–2,000] workers, coordinating amenities, and acting as the primary liaison between camp residents and management.

1. Camp Operations & Facility Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the labour camp, including accommodation blocks, kitchens, dining halls, washrooms, and recreational areas.
  • Ensure all camp facilities (electrical, plumbing, AC, ventilation, sewage) are functional; coordinate with maintenance teams for timely repairs.
  • Manage allocation of rooms/beds, maintain occupancy records, and ensure optimal use of space.
  • Supervise housekeeping, cleaning schedules, pest control, and waste disposal as per municipality standards.

2. Compliance & Safety (HSE)

  • Enforce strict compliance with

  • (e.g., Abu Dhabi/Municipality, TRAKHEES, DM guidelines).
  • Conduct daily safety inspections; report hazards, fire risks, or structural issues to the HSE department.
  • Ensure firefighting equipment, emergency exits, and first-aid boxes are in place and accessible.
  • Implement COVID-19 or infectious disease protocols if applicable (isolation rooms, sanitization).

3. Workforce Welfare & Discipline

  • Maintain camp discipline, resolve resident disputes, and report any violation of camp rules (e.g., curfews, unauthorized visitors, substance abuse) to HR/security.
  • Address worker grievances related to accommodation, food, water, or hygiene; escalate unresolved issues to management.
  • Coordinate medical emergencies – arrange transport to clinics, maintain first-aid log.

4. Catering & Laundry Services

  • Supervise canteen/kitchen operations (if in-house) or liaise with external catering contractors.
  • Monitor food quality, quantity, storage hygiene, and meal schedules.
  • Ensure availability of clean drinking water 24/7.
  • Oversee laundry services or facilities for workers.

5. Inventory & Documentation

  • Maintain inventory of camp assets (beds, lockers, utensils, cleaning materials, furniture).
  • Prepare daily/weekly occupancy and incident reports for management.
  • Track and request supplies (cleaning agents, toiletries, PPE for non-work areas).

6. Transport & Movement Coordination

  • Coordinate with transport supervisor to ensure workers board correct buses for site shifts.
  • Manage visitor entry/exit log and temporary accommodation requests.

Education

High school diploma / ITI / Diploma in Hotel Management or Facility Management (preferred)

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years as a Camp Boss, Camp Manager, or Senior Accommodation Supervisor in UAE/GCC construction or manpower supply industry

Certifications

HSE awareness (IOSH / NEBOSH basic preferred), First Aid & Fire Warden training

Software

Basic MS Office (Excel for occupancy logs, Word for reports)

Driving License

Must have UAE light vehicle driving license with own vehicle
