Position Summary

  • The Material Specialist (On Site Supervisor) serves as the primary on site representative for CDhorizon, overseeing the end to end lifecycle of project materials—from pre arrival briefing through final asset write off.
  • This role is accountable for construction progress reporting, lease asset safety, inventory accuracy, and client settlement confirmation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead pre shipment internal briefings with business, technical, and scheduling teams; ensure all briefing documentation is completed, reviewed, and archived before project launch.
  • Provide written material arrival briefings to clients before first delivery, covering plan submission, acceptance methods, unloading timelines, and signing requirements.
  • Proactively monitor shipment plan execution—confirm plan creation, vehicle assignment, loading status, and driver arrival times; escalate unresolved issues to supervisors immediately.
  • Oversee vehicle unloading and material sign off processes; ensure accuracy of incoming materials against delivery documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve shipment restrictions caused by overdue authorizations, unsigned contracts, or delinquent payments; coordinate with clients and internal teams to clear barriers.
  • Manage recycling/disposal of defective products; coordinate returns for unreceived materials and ensure cost responsibility is documented when customer driven.
  • Lead exit briefings with labor teams on packing standards and damage assessment; supervise packing quality to ensure compliance and exclude defective or non company materials.
  • Guide customers on return specifications, quantities, and transport requirements; report return plans to dispatchers and track execution to prevent empty trips or delays.
  • Accurately manage rental data; immediately halt and investigate any over return incidents; determine root causes and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Confirm complete material return with clients; notify business managers to initiate asset write off; assist in data analysis and account adjustments before final settlement.
  • Complete monthly settlement confirmations; assist business managers with final project settlements and client account reconciliation.
  • Address material quality complaints promptly—appease clients, report issues internally, track corrective actions, and ensure satisfactory outcomes.

What Makes This Role Critical

  • Single point of accountability for on site asset safety and rent confirmation.
  • Bridge between clients, dispatchers, labor, and internal business teams—requiring proactive communication and rapid issue escalation.
  • Financial impact through accurate settlement, over return prevention, and cost recovery.
  • Risk management through inspections, quality control, and contingency planning.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 3–5 years in construction/scaffolding materials management, project coordination, or logistics.
  • Strong communicator with client facing experience and multi stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Detail oriented, disciplined in documentation, and capable of working under pressure on active construction sites.
  • Proficient with MS Office, project tracking tools, and digital communication platforms (WeCom, Xiaohongren).
