Requirements

- At least 5 years of experience in a senior advisory or leadership role
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting ecological assessments, habitat mapping, and biodiversity monitoring programs
- Proven track record in developing conservation strategies and integrating biodiversity safeguards into infrastructure projects
- Experience in community engagement, participatory natural resource management, and capacity building
- Proficiency in English language

Overview
- An international consultancy company is seeking a Biodiversity / Natural Resource Expert for its building construction, Land and Water Transport Infrastructure project located in East Africa Rwanda.
Qualifications
- Biodiversity / Natural Resource Expert shall hold at least MSc in Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or Environmental Science.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in biodiversity conservation, natural resource management, or environmental planning.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior advisory or leadership role, guiding biodiversity and natural resource strategies for large scale projects.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting ecological assessments, habitat mapping, and biodiversity monitoring programs.
- Proven track record in developing conservation strategies, integrating biodiversity safeguards into infrastructure projects, and advising on sustainable resource use.
- Experience in community engagement, participatory natural resource Management, and capacity building for local institutions.
Language
- Proficiency in English Language is a must.
