Job Summary

The Baker is responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked products in accordance with company recipes, hygiene standards, and production schedules.

The role ensures consistency, quality, cleanliness, and efficient kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilitiesproduction & Preparation

  • Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products.
  • Follow standard recipes and portion controls.
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately.
  • Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures/timing when required.
  • Decorate and finish bakery items as needed.

Quality Control

  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
  • Check expiry dates and ingredient quality before use.
  • Maintain consistency in taste and appearance.

Hygiene & Safety

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness of bakery equipment and work area.
  • Ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished products.
  • Comply with HACCP and municipality regulations.

Inventory & Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels of bakery ingredients.
  • Inform supervisor regarding shortages or wastage.
  • Minimize waste and control production costs.

Equipment Handling

  • Operate bakery equipment safely, including:
  • Ovens
  • Dough mixers
  • Proofers
  • Slicers
  • Baking tools
  • Report equipment maintenance issues immediately.

Skills & Qualificationseducation

  • High school certificate or equivalent.
  • Bakery or culinary certification preferred.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of bakery experience in restaurant, café, hotel, or retail bakery.
  • Experience in artisan breads, pastries, or cake production is an advantage.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Understanding of food safety standards.
  • Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
