Role Overview

The Associate – QHSE will play a critical role in developing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the organization’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management systems.

This role ensures strict adherence to operational safety, food safety, and environmental standards across all facilities and new assets.

The Associate will also be actively involved in design reviews for new assets, ensuring QHSE compliance is embedded from the early stages of development through to operational readiness.

Qhse System Development & Implementation

  • Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with international standards and organizational objectives.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential hazards, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant QHSE laws, regulations, and standards.

Operational Safety & On-Ground Compliance

  • Conduct daily and periodic site inspections/audits to verify adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations across operational sites.
  • Provide on-site guidance and support to operational teams on QHSE compliance and best practices.
  • Lead and supervise QHSE compliance standards on site with the FM Service Provider.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, or near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

Design Review & New Projects

  • Perform design reviews of new assets and facilities to ensure QHSE requirements are integrated from the planning stage.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and plans to assess compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Review of Risk Assessment for fit out projects based on approved Method Statement
  • Review the documents to issue Permit to Work to vendors as per the Business Requirements.

Training & Awareness

  • Plan, conduct, and document QHSE-related training sessions, including food safety, health & safety inductions, emergency preparedness, and hygiene practices.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through awareness campaigns and continuous staff engagement.

Audit, Reporting & Documentation

  • Support internal and external QHSE audits and inspections, ensuring timely closure of findings.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inspections, incidents, and audit outcomes, with clear recommendations for improvement.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in OA Community Management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably within in Community Management and Facilities Management.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Strong understanding of local regulatory regulations related to food safety, hygiene, and HSE (especially for UAE/GCC).
  • UAE/GCC driving license required for site visits.
  • Excellent skills in risk assessment, auditing, and incident investigation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and use of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
