Job Summary

Under general supervision and applying knowledge gained through experience, the Associate Engineer begins functioning as a technical specialist.

The role builds deeper knowledge through larger and more complex assignments and may expand into other disciplines or functional areas.

Piping Stress Responsibilities

  • Create CAESAR II models for piping systems and evaluate pipe flexibility and stress analysis.
  • Assess support settlement, safety relief valve, seismic, slug, thermal-cycle, and wind effects.
  • Select appropriate springs for required supports.
  • Analyze jacketed, FRP, and expansion-joint piping systems.
  • Analyze modular design and structural deflections during fabrication, lifting, transit, and site installation.
  • Evaluate stresses, displacements, forces, and restraint moments for support design and piping loads against allowable nozzle loads.
  • Perform nozzle flexibility and WRC stress analysis and flange leak checks.
  • Perform modal, harmonic, and response spectrum dynamic analyses.
  • Prepare expansion-joint and spring-hanger datasheets, update pipe-support standards, and prepare stress-analysis reports.
  • Apply piping codes and standards such as ASME, API, and IBR.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
  • Three to ten years of oil and gas experience across onshore or offshore facilities, FLNG projects, or power generation is preferred.
  • At least three years of offshore oil and gas field or FLNG project experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is preferred.
  • Experience with CAESAR II is preferred.
  • Experience with Autopipe, Navisworks, or NozzlePro is preferred.
  • Experience with detailed design projects and EPC execution is preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program is required.
  • At least one year of related work experience is required.
  • Selected applicants must complete applicable pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle records searches.
