Assistant Manager – Process Governance & Internal Controls

Role Summary

Process Governance and Controls

• Support a consistent process governance framework across business units.
• Document standard operating procedures for key business processes.
• Participate in process audits and identify gaps for improvement.
• Assist in designing internal controls and monitoring process compliance.
• Establish KPIs and analyze process performance data.
• Support corrective actions for process deviations and non-compliance.

Team and Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead, train, and mentor process analysts with the Manager – Process Governance & Control.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and manage workloads and staffing levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Audit, Risk Management, IT, and senior management.
• Provide updates on process governance initiatives and outcomes.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Support projects that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Stay current on process governance and internal control best practices.
• Assist with change management and adoption of new processes.

Functional and Technical Competencies

• Strong knowledge of process governance frameworks and internal control mechanisms.
• Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to analyze complex data and generate actionable insights.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process governance, internal controls, or operations management.
• Retail or FMCG experience is preferred.
• Experience supporting process improvement projects and managing a team.

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification is preferred.
• Certification in process governance or risk management is a plus.
