Position Overview

Hub and Network Operations

• Lead daily hub operations and plan activities based on shipment volumes and network priorities.
• Ensure timely receipt, processing, consolidation, and dispatch of shipments across air, surface, and feeder networks.
• Monitor loading, unloading, scanning, tallying, dispatch, vehicle placement, and dock activities.
• Manage delays, misconnections, misroutes, pending shipments, and operational exceptions.
• Maintain accurate status updates and operational visibility across network systems.

Workforce and Resources

• Lead operational employees, supervisors, and outsourced workforce during assigned shifts.
• Plan manpower deployment, conduct shift briefings, and monitor productivity and attendance.
• Coordinate vehicles, trailers, equipment, dock utilization, bay allocation, and transport vendors.
• Support capacity planning during peak volumes, network changes, and seasonal demand.

Quality, Safety, and Improvement

• Drive shipment accuracy, scan compliance, loading quality, dispatch integrity, and timely exception closure.
• Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to improve hub productivity and service reliability.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, safety requirements, security controls, transportation regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Support audits and close operational, security, and quality observations.

Stakeholder and People Leadership

• Coordinate with network, aviation, surface, regional operations, customer service, security, and transport partners.
• Escalate operational risks, capacity constraints, and service issues to the Head – Hub Operations.
• Coach and develop supervisors, employees, and outsourced workers through briefings, training, and feedback.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
• Four to seven years of relevant experience is specified for the Assistant Manager level.
• Relevant experience includes hub operations, mid-mile logistics, transportation, or express distribution.
• Candidates should have managed inbound, outbound, and transit operations in an air or surface network.
• Experience leading medium to large hub operations and frontline teams is required.
• A logistics, supply chain, operations, or transportation degree or certification is an added advantage.
