About the Role
Sofitel Dubai Downtown seeks an Assistant Hygiene Manager to develop and implement Food Safety Management System programs. The role involves coordinating with department heads, conducting training, and ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation and cross verification of Food Safety Management System programs
- Coordinate with various department heads and provide necessary support on hygiene related issues
- Assist in the implementation of corrective actions and ensure verification and closure of findings
- Conduct training for food handlers and improve overall competence
- Conduct regular refresher courses to keep employees updated on hygiene regulations and safety standards
- Regularly assess employee adherence to hygiene protocols and provide corrective feedback
- Ensure effectiveness of HACCP based food safety system by consolidating data and communicating to management
- Maintain records of food safety and hygiene related forms, checks, and audits
- Conduct vendor inspection in coordination with purchase department
- Maintain and make improvements to hygiene standards
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hotel industry
- Relevant degree in the field of food safety
- Knowledge of UAE health & safety related laws
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- HACCP Level 4
- HACCP Internal Auditor; HACCP & Food Safety certifications
