Job Summary
The Assistant Engineering Technician provides technical support to engineering teams under close supervision.
The role supports instrumentation and controls deliverables for water and wastewater projects using digital design and documentation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Use CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
- Learn and apply engineering standards, systems, document control practices, departmental guides, and company procedures.
- Ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant with the company quality program.
- Assist with less complex deliverables, minor material quantity estimates, and dimensional checks.
- Coordinate deliverables with project groups to minimize interference or errors.
- Support continuous improvement, change management, client awareness, and knowledge sharing.
Minimum Qualifications
- Typically at least one year of related work experience.
