Position Overview
The Application Specialist, Pharmacy is part of the UHN Digital Software Services team.
The role supports Epic HIS and other clinical and business pharmacy applications.
The specialist oversees pharmacy workflows and system build and serves as a liaison among users, Epic, and third-party vendors.
Compensation and Schedule
- Salary range is $52.26 to $65.33 per hour.
- The position is permanent full-time with 37.5 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day application support and resolve complex and escalated issues.
- Gather requirements, analyze workflows, configure systems, and support requested changes.
- Perform and coordinate multiple testing types for releases and system changes.
- Participate in system design, implementation, validation, maintenance, upgrades, and testing.
- Support safe and accurate medication order processing, verification, dispensing, and administration.
- Generate queries and reports for data monitoring by management and clinical staff.
- Develop policies, procedures, technical documentation, and system diagrams.
- Provide end-user training and participate in an on-call support roster.
