Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across backend services, APIs, and modern frontend interfaces.
- Build backend systems using Python and FastAPI and frontend applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Integrate LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and agentic workflows into AI-powered products.
- Develop AI services, model APIs, retrieval systems, and agent orchestration.
- Own features from system design and development through testing, deployment, and production support.
- Deploy AI applications in cloud environments with DevOps and Infrastructure Engineers.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system design.
- Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code and Codex to improve engineering productivity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend development.
- Strong backend experience, ideally using Python and FastAPI, with frontend experience using TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React or Next.js.
- Experience designing, building, and deploying production-grade software applications.
- Experience building or integrating AI-powered applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
- Experience with cloud technologies and production deployment, ideally AWS.
- Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, scalability, testing, and system design.
- Exposure to CI/CD, containerisation, observability, and cloud-native development is advantageous.
- Ability to take ownership, solve problems, learn technologies, and collaborate in a fast-moving team.

- The role is based in Dubai and supports work within a lean, collaborative startup engineering environment.
