Role Overview
Gardinia Contracting is hiring an Agricultural Engineer for softscape and horticultural works across residential and community developments in the UAE.
The role focuses on healthy plant growth, climate suitability, landscape quality, and compliance with local landscaping guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee turf, shrub, tree, and planting-bed execution.
- Select plants suited to UAE soil and climate conditions.
- Conduct soil testing and recommend improvement and fertilization programs.
- Supervise planting, mulching, and post-planting maintenance.
- Monitor plant health, pest and disease control, and irrigation adequacy.
- Review landscape drawings for agronomic feasibility.
- Prepare planting schedules, BOQs, and material specifications.
- Coordinate with contractors and consultants on softscape quality.
- Ensure compliance with municipality greenery and landscaping guidelines.
- Train site labor and gardening teams in best horticultural practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in softscape or agriculture roles.
- Experience with a UAE contracting or landscaping firm is preferred.
